Kaliningrad's governor stressed that such a retaliatory measure was extreme.
The governor of the Kaliningrad region, Anton Alikhanov, spoke of retaliatory measures against the Lithuanian authorities for the blockade of transit to Kaliningrad from the mainland of Russia.
Among the measures in being worked out is a complete ban on the import or export of goods via the Baltic states to Russia.
Alikhanov pointed out that such a measure of retaliation is extreme and will be applied, apparently, in the worst case scenario.
Furthermore, the measure will affect the movement of goods to the Baltic countries via the Russian Federation, "except of Kaliningrad”.
This proposal was submitted today, July 5, but is not the only one. Nevertheless, the decision has not yet been taken.
Earlier, Topnews wrote that the German government opposes the decision of the Lithuanian authorities to triple the blockade of Kaliningrad, which began in early April and continues to this day.
The decision they call illegal there, since the transit is from Russia to Russia.
